What and how we eat does more than sustain us; it’s intertwined with our identities, cultures and the health of our planet. We need to get the food system right to nurture all these aspects of our lives.
That’s why I’ve taken a deep dive into Australia’s top food companies and have found they are failing to protect nature. Agriculture alone is making Australia a global deforestation hotspot – but few food companies have assessed how their supply chains affect nature or can trace their products back to the farms where they came from.
