  • Are you wanting to improve your home’s energy usage and/or share your experiences and tips towards the renewable energy transition?
  • Register for this Webinar for Friday 19th of July 11:00am

Tim Forcey’s My Efficient Electric Home Handbook is an essential first-of-its kind resource for homeowners and renters. It provides tips and strategies on how to convert your home into an efficient, healthy and comfortable space suitable for our all-electric future.

Sharing insights from working with thousands of Australians in their homes, as well as from hands-on experience modifying his own home, Tim Forcey explains best-practice heating and cooling, hot water heat pumps, induction cooktops, draught-proofing, insulation, solar energy, batteries and much more.

Australia’s Biggest Book Club is brought to you by the Australia Institute.

The book can be purchased at Reader’s Companion Armidale

‘The genius of this book is combining the big story that our leaders need to end new fossil fuel development to protect our climate, with a practical guide for homeowners to make their homes more efficient, electrify to get off gas, and save thousands of dollars a year in their energy bills!’ Dr Richard Denniss, executive director The Australia Institute

‘Tim has pioneered a way and now generously gives us his guidebook which will save us time and money and bring us to this destination – the future – at a discount.’  Dr Saul Griffith, co-founder Rewiring Australia.

Electrify Armidale for a Renewable Energy Future is a working group of Sustainable Living Armidale.

We are dedicated to engaging with the Armidale community as we embark on the journey to electrify our homes, businesses, and more.

Our goal is to create a local space for effective advice and mutual support and we are building such a space for you to ask questions, share your experiences and offer advice on topics such as space heating and cooling, water heating, induction cooktops, draught proofing, insulation, solar panels, batteries and minimising electricity costs as these apply in Armidale and our region.

We welcome all those interested in learning and sharing about energy efficiency from a practical perspective and  include a call out to suppliers, installers, and independent experts to join us in this quest . Common questions and responses to our forthcoming Facebook page will be summarised in future Sustainable Living Armidale newsletters.

We also aim to organise events to provide expert advice and community workshops as needed.

Join us to be a part of this exciting transformation, register for the Tim Forcey webinar to build your knowledge, and register your interest in joining Electrify Armidale by posting a comment at the bottom of this webpage!
