Teaming up to plant out 800 trees

IMG_0024

Hello everyone,

This coming Sunday, 14th November 2010, the Armidale Urban Rivercare Group and the High Country Urban Biodiversity group are teaming up to plant out about 800 trees and shrubs along Dumaresq Creek. All members of the community are most welcome to come along and help plant and mulch this coming Sunday morning.

  • Time: 9.00 am
  • Date: Sunday 14th November 2010
  • Location: North side of Dumaresq Creek between Elizabeth Park and St Peters Pre-school. Access is probably easiest from O’Dell St near St Peters Pre-school. Walk across the metal foot bridge to cross the creek. Or you could just walk across the park if coming from the north side.
  • What to bring: Planting equipment such as forks, trowels and lots of mulch spreading gear such as wheel barrows, buckets, forks, rakes and shovels. Of course your own personal protection gear (gloves, hats sturdy boots, sun screen etc).

A morning tea and lunch will be provided for a gold coin donation.  If you can bring your own mug that would be appreciated.

Everyone is encouraged to come along and help out.
