Environmental Project Officer Maternity Leave Postion available at Uralla Shire Council, August 2013 – August 2014

Uralla_Shire_Council_logoThe position will be based full time at Council Chambers in Uralla for a period up to 12 months. We wish to begin the position on 7 August 2013 (to be confirmed).

A full position description can be provided to interested candidates. In summary, this will be a demanding and multi-faceted role for which the following knowledge, skills and experience are required:

  • A minimum of 4 years Environmental Project Management experience (demonstrated research skills, budget and financial management and reporting, timeframe management, experience working with consultants etc.).
  • Knowledge of available environmental funding, experience with funding application processes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of environmental issues within the New England area.
  • Experience coordinating and directing staff.
  • Knowledge of consultative process, experience working with and managing the business of committees.
  • Experience working effectively and cooperatively with diverse groups of people: internally and externally.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
