Coal Seam Gas protest

Hi folks,

The NSW Government and Regional Development Australia Northern Inland will be holding an ‘invitation only forum’ on the 17th August which will be aimed at talking up coal seam gas in our region.

Liberal NSW Legislative Council member Scot Macdonald is the key organiser for the event. According to the Armidale Express on Monday he:

“…acknowledged the concerns raised by environmentalists and landowners, but said the economic argument needed to be considered as well.”

AACSG intends to be present in protest to remind Mr Macdonald and the NSW Government what these consideratons are being weighed against: our future health and the health of our environment.

The forum will begin at 9am at Moore Park Inn, so we plan on being there by 8:30.
