Sustainable Living Armidale (SLA) is gearing up for Council’s annual Sustainable Living Expo SLEX, which will be held in the Creeklands on 21,22,23 October.
We want YOU to get involved. Have you ever made something useful and/or beautiful out of what others might call ‘junk’? Do you still have it, and can we borrow it for our display?
Our theme this year is HOMEMADE, and, when it comes to recycling, HOME IS WHERE THE START IS, and we’re not talking about any old recycling, but creative re-use. Our display tent will re-create an average home, but furnished and kitted out with items that started out as something else.
Please come along to a planning meeting on Tuesday 6th September at at 4pm at the Landcare centre in the East Mall (upstairs from the Colour Copy shop). If you’re not a meeting person, or just can’t make it then, please write to us: info@slarmidale.org and tell us about your creations, or your willingness to pitch in and get creative.
If you would be able to run a short workshop/demonstration for kids or adults during SLEX we’d love to hear from you.
