New England community owned wind farm

Our New England Wind Feasibility Study is trying to get thousands of responses to an on-line survey about the possibilities of a  community wind farm. While there have been a couple of public forums and will be several more, the survey is the  major tool in assessing community reactions. Please fill it in and get all your family, friends, neighbours, anyone you can think of, to fill it in.

If we go ahead with a wind farm, the survey will help us define what we mean by community (who can be members and who can invest), what principles should be used in selecting a site, how such a farm should be governed,  how large it should be, and  what benefits it should have for the community at large.

Just to clear up some possible confusion … The use of ‘Our’ and ‘we’ above make it sound as if this is an SLA project. While SLA is certainly part of it, the group involved is actually a consortium of groups, led by Starfish Enterprises. To find out more please see Starfish Enterprises Network.
