3rd Annual Home-grown Garden Tour

Saturday, 5 Mar 10:00 amtoSunday, 6 Mar 4:00 pm

Whatever you do, don’t miss ALF’s 3rd Home-grown Garden Tour on the first weekend in March. This is a great opportunity to see 10 productive backyard gardens in Armidale and gather heaps of good ideas and useful info about compost, bees, worm farms, fruit trees, chooks, permaculture, seed saving …

The tour offers a chance to see many different styles of gardening first-hand, and talk to lots of other keen vegie gardeners. There’s something for everyone;  small gardens, large gardens, new gardens still very much in development, neat and unruly gardens, and one or two inspiring permaculture creations.

The tour is self-guided; booklets will be available (late Feb) from the Armidale Visitors’ Information Centre with all necessary info – maps, opening times, garden descriptions and so on. $20 for cars, $5 for bikes, kids free. (It helps to get in early and plan your tour in advance)
