Next month, CEO Jacqui Mumford will be sitting down for a conversation with Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore to discuss the role councils can play in protecting nature.

With NSW council elections coming up in September, this is a great opportunity for community groups to reaffirm how these council elections can inspire action from candidates across the state to protect and restore nature and take climate action.

To help our member groups, we’ll be launching our brand-new policy platform Clean, Green and Local: Priorities for nature and climate in the 2024 local government electionsThis platform consists of a wide range of policy commitments that community groups will be able to use to push their candidates to improve their nature and climate credentials.
