RSVP NEV2030 Forum: The Solar Revolution

Wednesday, 6 Mar
5:30 pmto7:30 pm

Hello everyone,

It’s been quite a summer and not over yet. Looking around the country at the enormous damage being suffered by natural disasters it reinforces my view that we should be marketing Armidale as one of the safest places to live in Australia. If Queenstown can do it in NZ, we can. It’s time to register for our third renewables Forum, ‘The Solar Revolution’ to be held Wed. 6th March at 5.30pm at the Bowlo. We have an outstanding panel. You can’t miss it.

You are invited to the next New England Visions 2030 Institute Forum
The Changing Face of New England No. 3 — The Solar Revolution

  • Wednesday 6th March 2024
  • Armidale Bowling Club
  • 5.30 – 7.30 pm
  • All questions from the floor

Australian researchers were among the first to realise the potential of solar power in providing renewable energy to our nation. Over the past 15 years rooftop solar has emerged as a leader in the Australian energy industry with approximately 30% of homes
being fitted with solar panels. Large scale solar farms, the rising agrivoltaics industry and batteries are all contributing to our future renewable energy needs as we seek to reduce emissions and universally electrify across our nation. We invited a panel of experts to answer your questions.

Panel

  • Ed Campbell — Director of Business Development Meralli Solar
    Topic: Large scale solar
  • Prof. David Lamb — Deputy CEO and Chief Scientist, Food Agility CRC
    Topic: Agrivoltaics
  • Peter Kemp — New England Solar Power
Topic: Rooftop Solar and Battery Installation

Everyone interested is invited.

A donation of $5.00 by online ticket or at the door is requested.
Registration: You can either register by purchasing a ticket at TryBooking

or send us an RSVP to NEV2030 Institute is a completely independent non-profit organisation. The requested donation is our only source of funding apart from in-kind support from the Bowlo. We use tour funds to cover any event or speaker expenses. We have extended the time of our Forums to 7.30 pm to allow for a longer question period. Those wishing to stay for dinner in the Bistro from 6.45 pm should make a booking with the club.
