RiverCare 2024 working bees

AURG Members and Friends

Bruce, Gordon, Gavin, Marty & Bryan have been whipper snipping, weeding and spraying in preparation for mulching next week of our February planting sites. I addition, we have contracted the Armidale Tree Group to weed the area WW2WW area we planted last year.  They also commenced working on the site this week.

Please note there is a site change for our Sunday 11 February Working Bee. It will now be on the northern side of the creek.

Details for our February working bee site are as follows:

  • Time: 8.30am
  • Date: Sunday 11th February
  • Location: Park in the enclosed area on the northern side of the creek accessed off Erskine Street. Follow the AURG Working Bee signs .
  • What to bring: BYO long sleeved shirt, long pants and sturdy boots.  Please also bring gloves, broad brim hat and sunscreen.

 Covid 19 Reminder. Bear in mind the current hygiene recommendations whilst working and eating.

AURG will provide equipment, morning tea and lunch for a gold coin donation.

Planning for autumn 2024:

Our goal is to plant approximately 5,000 plants from February to April 2024.

Out upcoming Working Bee dates are:

  • 10 March
  • 14 April

Our aim is to plant at least 1,000 per working bee.
