Stop AUKUS Rally: Sunday 6 August

Join with others in Armidale committed to putting the case for peace and to stopping AUKUS:

Meetings across Australia have protested the AUKUS coalition which was signed without any consultation with the Australian people or parliament.

In Sydney on 23 July 2023 a meeting of Sydney Anti-Aukus Coalition and Independent and Peaceful Australia Network called on the Federal Government to

• Withdraw from AUKUS and develop peaceful relations with all countries in the Asia Pacific;
• Spend the $32 million every single day for 32 years planned for the nuclear-powered submarines in the climate crisis and urgent social needs;
• Listen to First Nations communities who do not want nuclear waste stored on their country and declare Australia nuclear-free, and
• Sign the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons
