What an amazing turnout it was at our first meeting for Northern Tablelands for YES. A tremendous diverse and committed bunch. Over 50 people participated in the onboarding session discovering what the organisation YES23 is about and committing to support and grow the conversation about how we step forward with Aboriginal people in our communities and in Australia.
The next meeting of Northern Tablelands for YES – Conversations to bring us Together – is this Thursday 6th July, 5:30 to 7:00.
All welcome!
This meeting will explore the strategies of having a conversation. We will break into groups and practise some scenarios. We will then come back and gather and discuss what we heard. There will then be time to plan our immediate actions groups –
- Letter box drops
- Distributing YES signs residential and businesses
- Market stalls and sport events
- Kitchen Table talks
- Meetings and engaging the public
Our goals before this meeting are to:
- investigate – Yes23
- explore – The Uluru Statement of the Heart
- review – Together YES
Spend time researching and learning while you are in scroll time!!
If you would like to be part of this campaign, we would love to see you at Conversations to bring us Together, Aboriginal First Nations Constitutional recognition, and YES 2023.
