Inspired by the work of Joanna Macy local artists Maxine Ross, Louise Drielsma and Maria Rummery will host a Deep Time Spiral Walk from 12:30 – 1:15pm at the Black Gully Festival at the back of NERAM across the causeway and creek on the left between ACCKP and the Moran oval. Look out for the 22 flagpoles and spiral chalk markings on the mowed grassy area.
Planet Earth and we humans are recycled stardust and primordial bacteria. The product of a long period of pre-solar evolution some 13.7 billion years ago. The Deep Time spiral will be lead you through the timeless evolution of our planet. Participants will walk the spiral that will be marked according to planetary events. This will be narrated to lead us through the immensity of the Earth journey giving perspective to the emergence of humanity and our current world. Families and children welcome.
