Armidale Urban Rivercare Group (AURG) had a very special photo shoot yesterday with our state member Adam Marshall, to launch receipt of our successful grant application Stronger Communities Fund Round Four “Weedy Wasteland to Wildlife Wetland”. This is a very large grant for AURG —$290,030!
There was representatives from all the organisations supporting Armidale Urban Rivercare, meeting with Adam at a very wet creek lands scene. These include:
- Armidale Regional Council
- Southern New England Landcare
- Armidale Tree Group
- University of New England
Dr Sarah Mika’s group from UNE will be designing the wetland.
Bryan Johnston, AURG organiser says “We look forward to getting together in the new year to celebrate our work and commence with this exciting new project.”
