Our next AURG working bee to be held this Sunday on the creek lands near the Prickly Problems sign. The area is very overgrown amongst the plantings after the recent rains and floods. Work will include planting Carrex to suppress weeds in some areas, cut and pasting, whipper snipping and general tidy up.

Our next working bee will be in the Prickly Problems area and we will set up at the Lions Picnic table. This will involve general weeding, cutting and pasting woody weeds and a general clean-up of debris.

Details for working bee are as follows:

  • Time: 8.30am
  • Date: Sunday 18th 11thApril, 2021
  • LocationDumaresq creekbank near Prickly Problems area between sites 12 and 13. Assemble at the Lions Picnic Table. Accessed of Erskine Street at Phil Wheaton Soccer Field and towards the creek near the Prickly Problems sign and Lions Picnic Table, or access along the bicycle way.        
  • What to bring:  BYO long sleeved shirt, long pants and sturdy boots.  Please also bring gloves, broad brim hat and sunscreen.

Covid 19 Reminder. Bear in mind the current requirements for social distancing and group size whilst working and eating. We will allocate tasks and eating arrangements depending upon numbers.

AURG will provide equipment, morning tea and a BBQ lunch for a gold coin donation.
