- When: Saturday October 27th, 2pm – 7pm
- Where: Armidale Aboriginal Community Garden, Narwan Village
All Armidale community members and visitors are welcome to join us in the Aboriginal community garden in Armidale to help plant 400 native trees, shrubs and grasses.
As well as helping to rejuvenate the land, this is an opportunity to learn more about Aboriginal environmental science, land management, traditional medicine, and weaving practices, and hear from Elders and community leaders about the connections between healthy Country, cultural revival, and mental and physical wellbeing.
A free light afternoon tea and BBQ dinner will be provided, as well as dance, music and live entertainment around the fire pit.
You can find the garden on the East side of town, next to Doody Park Oval.
All welcome!
Please check facebook for updates about the event.
It is a shame that this is on the same day as the Black Gully Festival.
2018 Black Gully Festival is on Saturday 17th November
