The Victorian Government has just announced they will ban single-use plastic bags!

It took some time, but at last, we will have a ban on single-use plastic bags in Victoria. Thank you for being a part of this tidal wave of change!

Plastic pollution travels easily from land to sea. It blows in from bins and garbage dumps, or flows through stormwater drains into our waterways and eventually the sea. Once in the ocean, it gradually breaks up into smaller and smaller pieces which are eaten by animals of all sizes – from the largest whales to the smallest plankton.

It is bold actions like this commitment to ban plastic bags that will help stop plastic from reaching our oceans and killing Australia’s marine life.
