The Armidale Road To Paris campaign is shaping up to spread/reach throughout the Armidale community. There’s a small job for you, as a person concerned about climate change.
Can you undertake to talk to a few of your friends, family, or colleagues, about this campaign?
Armidale Road To Paris aims firstly to inform everyone in Armidale about the importance of the upcoming UN Conference on Climate Change to be held in Paris in December this year; then to stimulate organisations, clubs, groups to make their own responses to the Australian leaders who will attend the Paris Summit; and then to publish an open statement calling for Australia’s support of the aim of the conference, signed by as many Armidale people as possible.
This campaign, initiated by SLA, is ambitious. It’s already started, with letters going out; some talks locked in; planning for a big role at the Black Gully Music Festival on October 25th; and hundreds of cool bookmarks printed for wide distribution.
But, we all know that the best method is word of mouth.
That’s where you come in.
Please get in touch and offer to take some bookmarks (and some info) to work, to school, to church, to your next meeting, gathering, sports practice, rehearsal, drinks, coffee, family dinner.
Many hands make light work. As you know, we’re an entirely volunteer organisation, so your contribution, however small, is really important.
Get in touch.
