On Friday 26th September 2014 at 12pm there will be a rally outside Barnaby Joyce’s (MP) office (Shop 5, 259 Peel Street, Tamworth).
It appears that the Federal Government is preparing to break yet another election promise and scrap the RET (Renewable Energy Target). Subsidies to the renewable energy industry have been achieving significant positive results in pollution free energy, while subsidies to coal mining and CSG are significantly detrimental to our Nation’s environment.
If you live in Armidale/Uralla Rob Taber will hire and pay for a bus that will carry about 50 people. If you would like to join us on the bus, please phone Rob’s Business New England Solar on {local landline prefix}2 1805 to reserve a seat(s).
This rally is one of twelve to be held at strategic places Nationally to protest this absurdity. If it goes ahead it is estimated it will put renewable energy back by at least ten years.
Please come along if you can, and/or spread the message to as many people as possible. It is short notice but this Government excels at pushing legislation through when unexpected.
