Fundraiser for Leard & Pilliga forest protectors Uniting Church Hall from 6pm 30th August

10495289_1613172382242453_6640547045689418211_o‘Local musicians, including The Al Heeney Rhythm and Blues Experience, The Hermonik, The Firebird, Jana and Sujata Allan, and Chris and Arlene will perform in a fundraiser concert to support local protesters who were fined for protesting against coal seam gas mining in the Leard and Pilliga Forests recently.
Coal Seam Gas mining is of great concern right around the region and a number of local people have visited the Pilliga, and protested against its destruction from te effects of coal seam gas mining. We are raising money for their fines.

Program

  • 6pm for 6.30pm – Sujata Allen talk
  • 7pm – Firebirds • Food starts to be served •
  • 7.30pm – Pat Schultz talk
  • 7.45pm – Hermoniks
  • 8.15pm – Arlene and Chris
  • 8.45pm – Iain MacKay talk
  • 8.50pm – Sujata and Jhana
  • 9.30pm – Al Heeney rhythm & blues experience

Held in conjunction with March Armidale, under the banner of ‘the future is not for sale’ all are welcome to this evening of music, talks and a shared meal.
Food will be served and can be purchased for a donation starting from $5, up to $20.
Everyone is welcome to attend. Donations for the evening will begin from $5 and go up to $40
