    Dear all,

There is a letter on the community actions table (with a red tablecloth) in the Armidale town library. It requests Member for Northern Tablelands Mr Adam Marshall MP to attend the event. Even if he cannot attend, due to the short notice, I believe it is worthwhile that as many signatures as possible are put on the letter. I have signed it.

As much scientific consensus as can reasonably be expected exists on the reality of anthropogenic climate change. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has now released five reports. The first was released some two decades ago. Each report is authored by scientists working all over the world. Each confirms the general trend, which I (and many others) believe is an ongoing legacy of the Industrial Revolution.

Information sessions such as the one being held in New South Wales Parliament House are important. Two hours, the presenters are people who have been following the issue and a question and answer session at the end. It is a far cry from reporting in the mass media where the main interest is in maximising newspaper sales, maximising television ratings/advertising revenue or maximising radio ratings/advertising revenue.

The preceding two paragraphs are the main reasons why I have signed the letter in the town library i.e. that Mr Marshall MP attend the information session.

As always, I welcome any and all replies to tom.369@hotmail.com

    Best regards,
    Tom Livanos.
