Dear friend, Recently, the Australian Energy Market Commission (AEMC), one of the main organisations in charge of our energy system, flagged the potential to charge a fee or tariff to solar homes just to connect to the grid – in effect, taxing the sun. This proposal is outrageous – over 1 million families in Australia have made the move to solar to take control of their energy production and reduce their energy bills. It’s unfair that families who have gone solar would be penalised for doing the right thing. Don’t let this happen – Sign this petition to stop the sun tax!
We’ve got big plans for this petition – including taking it to a Lobby Day in Canberra on 2 December and a meeting of state energy ministers later in December.
