Community Owned Solar in Manilla

On Saturday, we’ll have our very first meeting to explain the details of the community-owned solar farm. The close knit community of Manilla could create Australia’s first community owned solar farm.

The community-owned model installs solar panel arrays across multiple sites for businesses with large electricity usage. The total size of the solar farm can be as large as 150kw or more, matched to actual usage of electricity.

The investment required up-front in the solar farm is covered by local investors – one share per person which provides a return at higher than bank interest.
