Visit a nearby farm

Mayfield Farm, on the Dorrigo Plateau, is running an open day on Saturday 4th May kicking off at 9.30am. That’s this coming Saturday. Mayfield run pigs, cattle and chickens all on pasture. Those of you who shop at The Food Shed will probably already be familiar with their produce. Anyone who would like to spend a few hours at the farm being shown around by the proprietors please email them at mayfieldfarm at activ8 dot net dot au (you know what an email address looks like so replace the obvious and of course leave out the spaces). You will need to register by close of business Monday 29th April. They will send you directions once you register. It should be a very interesting few hours. Morning tea is provided and, for a few dollars, a barbecue lunch can be had. For those who’d like to know a little more about the farm, please visit their web site at
