Life Cycle Armidale – NSW Bike Week

Armidale has a smorgasbord of cycling fun in NSW Bike Week, with four big events over two weekends.

On Sunday 16^th September SLA Transport presents LIFE CYCLE ARMIDALE. There will be a stall at the Farmers’ Market in Curtis Park from 9am to 1pm, where you will find information about safe and effective riding; leaflets of Armidale Dumaresq Cycleways with contoured town map, and bike routes around Armidale; see other bikes and trailers; and perhaps have the chance to ride a tandem bicycle!

At 10.30am there’ll be a Fun Family Ride along the Creeklands Cycleway, east to Macdonald Drive and back. This is for riders of all ages and abilities, to celebrate the joy of cycling. Bring your family, bring your friends, bring your bikes and helmets and enjoy the Creeklands Cycleway with us.

After the ride will be a prize draw where you have the chance to win a new bicycle courtesy of Armidale Outdoors!

NSW Bike Week aims to promote cycling as a healthy, easy, low-cost and sustainable way of making short local trips many things. It is also a competitive sport, a fun family activity, and great way to enjoy outdoor scenery.  Sustainable Living Armidale’s Transport Action Group is promoting all these positive aspects of cycling.
