Incredible Edibles Uralla (Community Garden) would like to invite you to a talk on “Understanding Bees”
Uralla beekeeper and gardener Peter Low will talk about bees on Saturday, June 9, at the Uralla Neighbourhood Centre, RSL Memorial Hall, 27 Salisbury Street, Uralla.
Peter will help us understand the needs of bees and why bees are under increasing pressure. He will tell us how to support feral and managed honey bees and native bees through planting and providing a safe environment. A display of equipment and images will give a basic understanding of the use of bee keeping equipment. A short film will give a glimpse of life inside a hive and how bee keepers care for bees.
The information day will start at 9.30 am with tea and home baked honey treats.
Lunch will be vegetarian soups, dairy and gluten free.
Cost will be $5.00 and include lunch, morning tea and bee notes.
