The event, known as the Federation Dialogue, will bring together two distinguished academics, one from Canada and one from Australia to discuss Climate Change Policy in their respective countries.
Professor Clive Hamilton, founding director of the Australia Institute and now Professor of Ethics and Public Policy (ANU, Melbourne and Charles Sturt Universities) will deal with Australia’s policy response, while the Canadian response will be discussed by Professor Thomas Courchene, Director of the Institute for Intergovernmental Relations at Queens University, Canada. After the two presentations there will be an opportunity to ask questions.
The Federation Dialogue is a prestigious event sponsored by the Government of Canada through the High Commission in Canberra. The Deputy High Commisioner to Australia, Mr. David McKinnon, will lead a delegation from the Canadian High Commission in Canberra while Mr. David Parrish will represent the Canadian High Commission in Wellington, New Zealand.
