Community action to deliver results of #StopAdani survey

Friday, 4 Aug
11:00 am

On Friday 4th August we are delivering the results of the Adani community survey to our federal MP, Barnaby Joyce. The survey shows clear community opposition to Adani, and if enough of us join the action at his office, Joyce will be forced to pay attention to these results.

If you have not filled out the survey yet here it is online!

This has become even more important, as Barnaby Joyce has been named the brand new Minister for Resources and Northern Australia! Now is the time to highlight to Joyce that he has an opportunity to support renewables and act on climate change. We’re calling on Joyce to stand up for farmers, groundwater and renewable energy.

  • What: Community action to deliver results of #StopAdani survey
  • When: 11am – 1pm, Friday 4th August
  • Where: Barnaby Joyce’s Armidale Office, Beardy St Mall, Armidale
  • Bring: Signs and banners, percussion instruments and your voice! Wear #StopAdani colours (red and black).

Knitting Nannas Armidale Group, and Stop Adani Armidale have been out surveying the community about Adani, and what they’ve found won’t be amazing to us, but may make Joyce look twice!

We know the vast majority of Australians oppose this mine. But we need our MP to know that it’s not just a massive national issue, it’s also big deal for voters here in New England!

We’ll be delivering these results with a big, bold and beautiful action on Friday. The bigger the crowd, the more Joyce will be forced to listen. Will you join us?

The way the Government is behaving, it’s clear they think we, the voters, don’t care about climate change or the Reef. On Friday we will prove them wrong.
