As the inaugural Elder-in-Residence at the ABC, Jackie combines a knowledge of media with an illustrious track record.  A few of her previous roles and achievements include Member of the Referendum Working Group, Co-Chair of Reconciliation Australia, Co-Commissioner for Queensland for the National Inquiry into the Separation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children from Their Families (Stolen Generations inquiry), and Co-Chair of the National Congress of Australia’s First Peoples. Jackie is currently a Director of Indigenous Research at the University of Queensland.  She is also the author/co-author/co-editor of 5 books and an engaging speaker.
