RSVP: NPA walk near Armidale

Distance: 15 kms
Terrain: Mostly on tracks and roads. Ascent aprox 100 metres to Crest Road then undulating followed by a descent down Box Hill Drive.
From the Armidale Visitor Centre we will follow the bike path to Jessie Street then through Snow Gums Reserve to Erskine Street. Then along back streets and road reserves past the former Duval High School and new subdivisions to the highway near Hoys Road. We will then follow a road reserve east past an area called Four Ways where we will stop for lunch. Continuing along the road reserve and Trelawney Road to the bike path along Rockvale Road up the hill to Box Hill Drive. Down Box Hill Drive to the bike path along Dumaresq Creek and back to the Visitor Centre. Further details will be available closer to the date.
Highlights: Work performed by volunteers in Snow Gums Reserve, along road corridors between the highway and Trelawney Road. Many thousands of native plants planted along Dumaresq Creek over the past two decades. Views over town from Snow Gums Reserve. We may spot some native fauna including birds and macropods.
