We’ll be opening our doors at 10am on Thursday 23 April 2026. Please celebrate with us – we’ll have morning tea together and would love to show you where all the action will take place!
About us: Thread Shed Armidale is a new, permanent textiles reuse, repair and refashion hub for residents of Armidale who want to develop textiles skills while using upcycled materials to reduce waste. All are welcome, no strings attached!
We partner with community organisations to develop networks and foster feelings of well-being, belonging and inclusivity, while building resilience for the future.
Our workshops, sewing lessons and informal social stitching gatherings are very low cost, to ensure accessibility, and aim to help people develop practical skills in a social setting, while reducing textile waste.
Location: Armidale Uniting Church Precinct 114 Rusden Street, Armidale 2350 in the Wesley Hall on the east side of the Church
