Knitting Nannas against Gas (KNAG) Knit-ins every Thursday at 11.30am

Hi, there will be ongoing knit-ins that will occur most Thursday’s 11pm at ANZ, politicians’ shopfronts, and whom ever is involved in the fossil fuel industry.

Recently we established the New England North West loop of the Knitting Nannas against Gas (KNAG).

We launched the loop on Thurs 30th Jan  11.30- 13.30.

Our launch was outside the ANZ bank, Who are propping up Whitehaven mine.

Our Facebook page is up,  and check  the original loop page www.knitting-nannas.com for patterns and the Nannafesto.

Some ideas:

  • Bring a comfy chair and a thermos of tea and your sense of humour.
  • Invite your female friends to join you.
  • Knit something in Black and / or yellow
  • Make a knitting nannas sign to let the community know who you are.

Reply by email to:  knag.newengland.northwest@gmail.com  with the time you are able to join a knit in loop and your nearest town. I will put you in touch with KNAGS in your region.

You don’t have to be a Nanna, and you don’t have to knit. you can crochet, embroider or just offer support. grand daughters, daughters and sisters all welcome.

Happy knitting

Pat Schultz
