Earth Hour Central Park meet up 6.30pm on Saturday 26 March

Hi everyone!

Just spreading the word that we need some ‘unplugged’ entertainment for Earth Hour, so all interested parties need to contact me ASAP! Whether it be some singing and strumming on the guitar, a short play, a poem, an aria, a choral piece – you are most welcome to perform! Also, any organisations/people who are in the sustainability and climate change arena are also welcome to say a few words about what they do (so SLA, Talloires, YOUNG!, PCYC, Grassroots, etc).

The rough agenda for the event is:

  • 6:30-8pm – rock up to Central park, have a picnic with friends and family and socialise.
  • 8pm- 8:20pm – Welcome & guest sustainability speakers.
  • 8:20-8:30pm – ceremonial lighting of candles across the park
  • 8:30-9:30pm Earth Hour and entertainment
  • 9:30-10pm – Thankyous, packup, depart

So as you see there are so many opportunities for performers to get involved, for businesses and community organisations to speak, and for the night to be a huge success!

So please contact me via facebook message or thru the SLA editor.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
Emily
