The Wildlife Habitat Group of SLA was formed in response to the threat of removal of habitat trees along Edgar Lane (now Street). The Lane was to be widened and tarred to facilitate housing development but it was known to be a wildlife corridor. The developer was happy to rethink the position of the road. Two weeks ago the koala (in the fork of the tree in the middle of the photo) was happy to make it a temporary home.
