Friday, 10 Jul
5:00 pm
If you would like to apply to speak at the Hearing of the Independent Planning Commission  (IPC) re  Santos Coal Seam Gas (CSG)  Project in The Pilliga then please put in an application by 5pm  Friday 10 July
The IPC have allocated five days for hearings (20-25 July) and we need to be sure that they are very aware of the huge interest in this project.
The application allows you to choose to talk at Narrabri in a studio teleconference, or you can attend by zoom on your own computer at home or by phone.
Several locals have applied to speak and any individual can apply to speak.
  • Lynne Hosking has applied to represent Armidale Branch NPA and also NPA head office is putting in an application to speak.
  • Pat Schultz has applied to speak on behalf of Armidale Action on Coal Seam Gas and Mining,
  • Bea Biele on behalf of Knitting Nannas NENW, and
  • Elizabeth O’Hara  on behalf of Wando Conservation and Cultural Centre.
Please note that an application does not guarantee an opportunity to speak.
The Hearing is not the only way to express your concerns over the Narrabri coal seam gas project. Please note that you can also put in a Written Submission with the deadline closing date 5pm on Friday 31st July.  It is even more important to write of your concerns in a submission even if it is just a paragraph to express your opposition to the project and express your support for the health of our environment and support for the integrity of unpolluted water, clean air, biodiversity and food production.
If you have been to The Pilliga then make the submission personal and you could include your photos in your submission.
If you would like any further information please contact Pat {mobile prefix oh for}28 725 852
