Armidale Regional Council is about to join the worldwide movement to declare a ‘climate emergency’ in our region!
7 Councillors have put their names to the motion, taking action on behalf of approximately 1800 community members who have signed a recent petition to declare a climate emergency.
Come along to the meeting 4pm-6pm on Wednesday 23rd October at Armidale Regional Council Chambers to show your support to the motion, and to recognise the community leadership shown by these 7 Councillors.
Council papers will be publicly available before the meeting on the Council website.
Over 1000 people turned out to support the last Global Climate Strike in Armidale. The next global strike has been called for Friday 29th November. Put the date in your diary now and follow the links below to stay informed and get involved!
