AURG Working Bee Sunday 17 September

AURG - Road to Paris plantingOur next working bee will be on the Creeklands straight south of the Phil Wheaton Soccer Field. Please note that this is the third Sunday, not our usual second Sunday of the month.

Bruce Whan, Gordon Bell and John Fitzgerald have been working away and now have sufficient area under control for several working bees. The plan is for a series of showcase plantings depicting species that will grow on the Creeklands. Eventually there will be a pathway, seating and information signage.

A series of working bees will be arranged as plants become available throughout the spring and summer months.

Details of the working bee are as follows:

  • Time: 8.30 am
  • Date: Sunday 17th September, 2017
  • LocationDumaresq Creek south of Phil Wheaton Soccer Field. Access off Erskine street or along bike/walking track.          
  • What to bring: BYO long sleeved shirt, long pants and sturdy boots.  Please also bring gloves, broad brim hat and sunscreen.  AURG will provide equipment, however additional wheelbarrows will be appreciated.

Morning tea and BBQ lunch will be provided for a gold coin donation.
