https-%2f%2fcdn-evbuc-com%2fimages%2f24846949%2f184096039275%2f1%2foriginalThe NSW Solar Bonus Scheme is coming to a close at the end of the 2016 year.

In order to make the transition to un-subsidised feed-in tariffs as smooth as possible for Scheme customers, the NSW Department of Industry in collaboration with the Office of Environment and Heritage, with the support of local partners are hosting a series of Energy Opportunity Workshops in metropolitan and regional NSW.

A free workshop is scheduled for Uralla, at the Central School, 5:30 to 7:30 pm, Wednesday 2nd November.

Although not stated on the web page, We understand that the Independent Expert is Mark Byrne from the Total Environment Centre.

At this session an independent energy expert will explain how the changes to the feed-in tariff will affect you, what you need to do in the lead up to the closure and the important steps you need to take to get the best out of your renewable energy system after the closure. The aim is to provide customers with a list of easy action steps to follow, relevant to your home or business location.

This session will cover a range of Clean Energy Opportunities for households and businesses, including:

  • How to understand the different metering arrangements (i.e. gross and net) and the benefits;
  • The emerging technologies to consider including battery storage and electricity monitoring devices;
  • How to maintain your systems to maximise the benefits; and
  • Ways you can become more energy efficient to minimise your electricity bills.

And if you have questions you’d like to ask, bring them with you for the Q&A slot after the info session.

These sessions are impartial and independent, with factual information provided to help NSW residents about how to create energy opportunities in their home or business at scheme end. Thank you but no product suppliers or installers will be able to set up or promote at this event.
