Working Bee to plant Eucalyptus, Tea Trees and Snow Grass near Niagara Street bridge

Sunday, 13 Mar
8:30 am

Small Community Grants Funding has been approved and Bruce Whan and Gordon Bell have been busy preparing further sites for planting. Our volunteers planted 440 trees, shrubs and grasses at our February working bee.

The working bee will involve planting of Eucalypts, Tea Trees and Snow Grass. This will be promoted as a Community Day so encourage others to join as well as assist newcomers. An outline of our approach to preparation, planting and maintenance and what we have learned will be given at morning tea.

Details of the working bee are as follows:-

  • Time: 8:30 am
  • Date: Sunday 13th March, 2016
  • Location: Along the walk/bicycle track on the North side of Dumaresq Creek downstream from Niagara Street bridge crossing or alternatively off Northcott Street.
  • What to bring:   BYO long sleeved shirt, long pants and sturdy boots.  Please also bring gloves, broad brim hat and sunscreen.

As always a morning tea and lunch will be provided for a gold coin donation.

We look forward to your attendance and continuing support!
