AURG - Road to Paris plantingThe AURG is holding a Working Bee on Sunday 13th December, 2015.

Members and friends this is a short notice call for assistance to spread mulch on the morning of our scheduled Christmas Party.

Helen Webb has planted out the remaining seedlings left over from our November working bee. Whilst planting out these, Rob Johnson from Armidale Tree Group offered to provide her with addition shrubs and trees.

Gordon Bell and have given them a good watering and estimate we will need to water again by 13 December. I have arranged for mulch to be delivered today to ensure they get off to a good start over the summer months.

The working bee will involve watering and mulching of these plants and shouldn’t take too long if we get some volunteers on the day.

Details of the working bee are as follows:-

  • Time8.30 am
  • DateSunday 13th December, 2015
  • Location: Site 9 at corner of Jeffery and Douglas Streets. Alternatively access off Holmes Avenue and follow walking track downstream to Site 9 with City Bowling Club sign.
  • What to bringBYO long sleeved shirt, long pants and sturdy boots.  Please also bring gloves, broad brim hat and sunscreen.

I will arrange for some morning tea items.

I hope to see you all there ready for action in the morning and again later in the afternoon for a relaxing drink or two at Imi and Bea’s for our Christmas celebration!
