Frackman will be showing at Kent House 2pm on the 12th of July followed by afternoon tea & a brief introduction to Sustainable Living Armidale’s latest action group – Armidale Road to Paris.
Frackman tells the story of accidental activist Dayne Pratzky and his struggle against international gas companies.
Australia will soon become the world’s biggest gas exporter as more than 30,000 wells are sunk in the state of Queensland where Dayne lives, with many requiring controversial “fracking”.
Following the discussion of Frackman there will be a brief presentation on Sustainable Living Armidale’s latest action group. Armidale Road to Paris aims to raise awareness of the UN Paris Climate Summit in December, and to engage our community in ways to support Australia taking effective action to limit global warming to under 2 degrees.
