North Coast Energy Forum progresses Australia’s first region-wide sustainable energy system

2db4da80-ac8b-4de8-9278-b4f4f219a5d0This year’s North Coast Energy Forum was a stand-out as the best yet, with really visible momentum behind their leadership in creating Australia’s first sustainable regional energy system. It even included an EV Expo (pictured above) which inspired an announcement for an EV charging station network stretching from Noosa down to Ballina.

Similarly, interest continues to build in community energy. More than forty organisations and groups have joined C4CE (Coalition for Community Energy) in the last two months since it launched. Click here for details.

Rural and regional sustainability requires more than renewable energy alone. Of course! So as always we have a mix of other enterprising rural initiatives to inform and inspire you ~ from crowd-funding bacon to the importance of heritage breeds for food security.

Sustainably yours, Adam Blakester
