AURG tree planting between Butler and Markham Streets on Sunday 13 April

The AURG is holding a tree planting day on the North side of Dumaresq Creek between Butler and Markham Streets on Sunday 13 April. 

Bruce Whan has advised the preparations are on track. The spraying has been quite successful and most of the site is free of weeds. A follow-up spray to stop some of the phragmites re-shooting is also scheduled. 

It is planned to deliver 6 loads of mulch to the site next week if possible. All that remains then is to spread the mulch and furrow it prior to 13 April.

Details of the working bee are as follows:-

• Time:                     8.30 am
• Date:                     Sunday 13^th April 2014
• Location:             The best access will be via the Bicycle track opposite Kirkwood street on Markham Street. Those with trailers can enter on the north side from Donnelly Street.
• What to bring:   BYO long sleeved shirt, long pants and sturdy boots.  Please also bring gloves, broad brim hat and sunscreen.

As always a morning tea and lunch will be provided for a gold coin donation.
