Hi All,

You may have heard already but after the success of Act Up 1 and Act Up 2 at Maules Creek, there was no choice but to plan for a third one. The event is now upon us and will run from the 28th March – 1st April at Camp Wando in Maules Creek.

As you may have seen, the campaign to protect the Leard State Forest and to stop Whitehaven Coal’s dirty Maules Creek coal mine is going from strength to strength as our numbers grow. Hundreds of people have now visited the forest and participated in a variety of activities to show opposition to this destructive project. Such as this one! I know that some of you have already been there as well and continue to show your ongoing support. As you know, the government has failed us, we’ve exhausted all legal avenues and now we have little option left but to take mass direct action to stop construction of the Maules Creek Mine in the forest, ourselves.

This Act Up there will be workshops and skillshares on all things activisty along with exciting events to be a part of. As mentioned, the event will run from Fri 28th of March – Tues 1st Apr, but we urge people to come early and stay longer as they can. There will be many roles to fill and every person, no matter how old or young counts.

To help us keep track of numbers and plan appropriately for the 5 days please RSVP to me here. Here’s the map to camp:

In the meantime, if you have any questions please contact me. This is definitely one not to be missed,
