Autumn Festival 2009This year the Autumn Festival Parade is on Saturday March 15th, middle of the day.

SLA has entered a float every year since we began, and we have won the Best Community Float more than once. (This pic is part of the 2009 SLA float).

If you would like to be involved this year, and there is a role for everyone, can you come to a meeting on Wednesday 19th February from 4pm at Bar & Pats’ place. If you don’t know where that is, email: info@slarmidale.org.

We’ll throw around any ideas people come up with – start out outrageous and fanciful, and then settle on what’s possible to actually do. Get your creative juices flowing.

If you can’t make it then (you can come just for a short time if you want, up to around 6pm) please get in touch with any ideas, and then stand by to be called on to help build/paint/decorate etc. (There’ll be a couple of working bees)

And we’ll need people to join the float on the day – so there’s something for everyone.

Keep in mind that several thousand people watch the parade, and so become aware of the wide range of issues that SLA works on/lives by, and can be moved to get involved, and build a more sustainable community.

Sparking off each other always comes up with something unexpected so let’s do it.
