CORENA have completed the installation of a 7kW solar power system which is probably the first crowd-funded project of its kind in Australia.
The installation is for Tulgeen Disability Services in Bega on the far south coast of NSW. The solar power will be used for their cheese-packing workspace and day program building and will complement the energy efficiency measures already implemented. Tulgeen works to enhance the skills and lives of people with disability, enabling them to fulfill their greatest potential through employment, in-home support, training and education.
CORENA provides a way for for people to collectively donate funds to build new renewable energy installations.
