Since 1981, the Tidy Towns – Sustainable Communities Program has been rewarding and recognising the civic pride, community spirit and environmental commitment of regional communities across NSW. An award based program, Tidy Towns celebrates the achievements of communities who implement a range of sustainability projects that improve their town’s natural and built environments. Each year, awards are presented for a number of categories.
Keep Australia Beautiful NSW invites you to experience all that the 2013 State Tidy Towns has to offer, whilst celebrating the achievements of NSW Tidy Towns.
This year the Tidy Towns – Sustainable Communities awards weekend will take place in Armidale from 1-3 November 2013. Armidale was Keep Australia Beautiful NSW 2012 Tidy Towns Overall Winner and also won two awards at the 2013 Australian Tidy Towns Awards ~ for ‘Community Action and Partnerships’ and ‘Resources Recovery and Waste Management’.
