AURG tree plant Elizabeth Park and Markham St

P1010561Inland Technology has approached Southern New England Landcare wanting to sponsor a planting in Armidale.  This has resulted in Inland Technology sponsoring our next planting which is fantastic news. So the AURG’s next tree planting day is on Sunday 13 October 2013.  The site is to the north of the creek opposite Elizabeth Park and the plan is to link the existing HiCUB plantings to the west of this area with the plantings at Elizabeth Park. We are hoping to plant 1200 trees on the day!

Details for the day as follows:-

  • Time:                     8.30am
  • Date:                     Sunday 13th October 2013
  • Location:              North of Elizabeth Park. Access via Markham St and the cycle track heading west!
  • What to bring:   BYO hat, sunscreen, long sleeved shirt, long pants and sturdy boots.  Please also bring gloves, broad brim hat and sunscreen.  If you can also bring equipment for planting trees that would be great thanks!!

As always a morning tea and lunch will be provided for a gold coin donation.

We are really hoping to make this a great event to celebrate the Inland Technology’s contribution to the work along Dumaresq Creek so please let all your friends know.  The AURG will be informing the community through electronic media, on radio and the newspapers so we hope to get a big turnout.

Please note that Bar Finch will be chasing people for membership fees so if you could bring $5 for membership that would really be appreciated.

I hope to see you all there!
