community gardenHi everyone it has been such a long time since I gave you an update on the garden.

Our 3 chooks are settling in well to their new home, they are very beautiful and have already laid lots of lovely brown eggs. Many thanks to Pat for giving us our gorgeous girls, and to Rosemary who has taken on the job of letting them out in the mornings.

We have a sandpit at last! Complete with toys and a shade sail, and even flowerbeds at the corners just waiting for some seeds to be planted.

We managed to supply some vegies to the Farmers’ Market stall right through the winter, mostly ruby chard, English spinach, silverbeet and kale, but also some cauliflowers, rocket, Asian greens and leeks. This summer we plan to grow a wide variety of produce, and experiment a bit with a few unusual vegetables.

We’ve made progress in other areas too, come and see! Bring a friend! cheers Jo
